It's time to let the cat out of the bag- Tommie John and company have recently been working with Jim Petty of "Bubba Blues Boxes" on a signature Cigar Box Guitar.  After much research, design, and testing, TJ has begun showcasing his new box at jams and shows around Tennessee.  Jim's guitars are all handmade to order- 3 string, 4 string, and Tommie's preference- a 6 string full-featured electric cigar box complete with Telecaster neck!  You can order one just like Tommie's, or commission your own custom model by contacting Jim at 865-607-0063 or 54stargazer58@gmail.com

On Nov 25, TJB had the honor of being the host band for the Brownie McGhee Blues Bash in at the Relix Theater.  Hundreds of fans turned out to see TJB joined by such local legends as Jenna Jefferson, Larry Blair, Michael "Crawdaddy" Crawley, Jeanine Fuller, "Blue" Barry Faust, and many others.  Stay tuned for more upcoming dates at the Relix Theater!

The Tommie John Band and friends had a blast closing out the season of Blues Cruises this year.  And we're glad to announce that we've already got a return date booked for the Spring! You can catch us rocking the Riverboat again on April 23, 2017. 

Tommie will join Valerie Buckner of Knoxville favorite Pop Rox for a special night of music on the patio of Hurricane Grill and Wings. 9PM start- no cover!

I make it back to my hometown for the Blues Jam at Brackins once in a blue moon, but it's been a long time since I've gotten to play a hometown show with my full band.  Very much looking forward to seeing some old friends and familiar faces for an awesome time on V-Day!   I'm tellin you, we've got a killer lineup, and a super fun setlist, with a couple of Valentine's Day surprises for ya.   Also looking forward to having a couple of very special guests join us.  Hope to see you there!
